Sylvan Lake, Bradley Beach - May 31st, 2003
Fog and rain - just what the doctor ordered for a nice day of largemouth bass fishing in Bradley Beach.
Overall six bass were caught, but more importantly, students learned how to choose and retrieve their lures based on the current
conditions. These "conditions" were prespawn, overcast, and a water temperature of 64 degrees. In general, this
means rubber worms, slow spinnerbaits and minnow baits will all be successful. Topwaters baits did not work too well
that morning - usually we like water temps over 65 before topwaters really get effective.
